Learn More About AYTIntegrative Approach to Learning
Mount Madonna Institute offers an integrative approach to mastering the vast science of yoga by combining study, practice, and self-reflection. This training embodies the teachings imparted by Baba Hari Dass to the Hanumān Fellowship and Mount Madonna Center community since 1971. Our Advanced Yoga Studies (YTT 300) program is continuation of a YTT200 Certification*. Completion of this accredited YTT 300 course allows one to become certified at the 500 level through Yoga Alliance. This course is an integral part of the Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist program.

The Teachings
It is our firm belief that developing a regular personal practice is the foundation for realizing the truth of yoga, which is union with infinite consciousness, union with inner peace, or union with God. Yoga is a commitment to practice, to the process of inner awakening, and ultimately to the realization of one’s true nature.
By removing obstacles yoga brings greater energy and clarity, and unleashes creative potential inherent in every human being. The courage and insights gained through the practice of yoga give the aspirant the ability to consciously face the challenges of life with peace and equanimity.

Program Details
Deeply explore Classical Ashtanga Yoga in a modular fashion. Using the Yoga Sutras as a foundation, build a scaffold to support your personal practice and advance your teaching skills with Biomechanics, Sanskrit, Mantra, Tantra, Vedic Ritual, Bhakti Yoga and Yoga Psychology.
Program Hours
Registered with Yoga Alliance and providing 300 hours of study, the program is delivered over eight months. Students attend two 5-day intensives on either end of the program, with monthly weekend online sessions in between. The program is supplemented with homework, practice and mentoring sessions (approximately 6-8 hours a month). Students must earn a 90% attendance rate. An MMI Certificate of Completion at the 300 hour level is awarded once the student satisfactorily meets the hourly requirements, completes all required work and is fully solvent. The student may then register with the Yoga Alliance as an RYT-500.
Prior YTT 200 certification from a Yoga Alliance approved school is a pre-requisite. Students who completed their YTT 200 elsewhere are required to take Yoga and Ayurveda: The Essentials before the program begins.
