YTT for Educators: Teaching Yoga & Mindfulness to Children

Mount Madonna Institute and Mount Madonna School are proud to jointly offer "Yoga and Mindfulness for Educators: a Children's Yoga Teacher Training." In this program, educators will learn to create and teach engaging yoga classes for children. Apply the practices of Hatha Yoga and the theory of classical Ashtanga Yoga to child development.

This comprehensive training will inspire you to bring the benefits of asana, breathing, and self-reflection to your young students and their families. This course is designed to deepen your personal practice.

Students will receive a certificate of completion of a 95-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training. Those who hold a RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance will be able to register as a Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher (CRYT).

About the Course Leader

Stacy Fuller , M.S., E-RYT 500, A.H.C

Stacy was born in a small town in Alabama where she was a national level gymnast from a very early age. Her love for movement led her to cheer in college and teach PE in high school. Then she got a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology while working as a strength and conditioning coach and cheerleading coach. Later, longing for a more spiritual she found her way from Alabama to Mount Madonna. She did the YTT 200 program in 2013 and apprenticed in that same program, while continuing to complete the Mount Madonna YTT 300 as well as the Ayurveda Health Counselor program. She is a bodyworker and owns her own business in Gunnison, CO providing Yoga, Ayurveda, and Massage. She also is back into cheerleading coaching at Western Colorado University where she is teaching high school and college students to do Yoga and Mindfulness in their daily lives. She aims to bring Yoga and Ayurveda philosophy into the world of athletics. Stacy has been teaching kids ages 2 –College some form of movement: gymnastics, dance or Yoga, for over 20 years

Stacy was a national level gymnast whose love for movement led her to teaching Physical Education; coaching strength, conditioning, and cheerleading; and to pursue her master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Longing for a more spiritual integration, she found her way to Mount Madonna Institute where she completed the YTT 200, YTT 300, C-YTT, and Ayurvedic Health Counselor programs, and served as an apprentice. Stacy is the founder of Ahimsa Wellness in Gunnison, CO where she provides Yoga, Ayurveda, and Massage; she is the Head Cheer Coach at Western Colorado University; and she also teaches Yoga and Mindfulness to high school and college students. Stacy is passionate about bringing Yoga and Ayurveda philosophy into the world of athletics and has been teaching kids ages 2 –College some form of movement: gymnastics, dance or Yoga, for over 20 years. She is the course leader for Mount Madonna Institute’s Yoga Teacher Training for Educators program (Children’s YTT).
