Susan and Jeff Turner, DA (NAMA) began their Ayurvedic studies with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute 1995-1999. It was also their good fortune to study concurrently with Dr. Sunil Joshi, renowned Panchakarma expert. Susan is a Registered Nurse and Jeff has advanced skills in Applied Kinesiology. Together they established Living Ayurveda in 1998, offering Panchakarma and individualized healthcare programs. They live and practice on the Monterey Peninsula in California. www.living-ayurveda.com

Workshop Description

Expand your healing practice to help clients cleanse and maintain optimal health for years to come. You will learn to prepare herbal oils, administer a warm oil massage (abhyanga), swedena, shiodara, marma point massage therapy, nasya, and carna basti. You will gain a richer understanding of how these treatments lead to physiological and cellular cleansing, rejuvenation, and mental balance.

Schedule

The program begins at 10am Friday morning and ends at 5pm on Sunday.

On Friday, please meet at 10am at the Seminar House. Room check-in will take place between 5-6pm (during your dinner break) at the Programs Office- located in the Community Building.

Dress: Please bring an apron if you have one and wear clothes that you don't mind getting oily.

Program Notes

  • Deposits are non-refundable and are not transferable to another person. For cancellations received at least 2 weeks before the program starts, the deposit less a $50 fee will be credited to any other program within one year. No credit is available for cancellations less than two weeks prior to the program start date, for no-shows, or for leaving an event early. Housing changes incur a $20 change fee.
  • Registration check-in for this program is from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Dinner is served from 5:30-6:30 pm on Friday and 5:00-6:00 pm on other days.
  • If you will be arriving late, please ask us to save a dinner for you.
  • Orientation begins at 10:00 am.
  • The program will end at 5:00 pm on the final scheduled day.
