Celebrating Milestones
July 29, 2018
Henry David Thoreau once said, “go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” This summer MMI students did just that!
On July 13th a group of 18 students graduated from our annual month-long intensive YTT 200hr. They completed training in classic Ashtanga methods; including pranayama, mediation, asana and sadhana.
Students shared the following thoughts about their deep-dive into yoga:
“I loved that we were taught by so many different and amazing teachers… I would recommend this program to everyone. Thank you so much for your support.”
“My favorite part of this training was the people I met. I made some really valuable connections… I truly appreciated the community we created in the training.”
“The faculty and whole community was knowledgeable and so supportive. There are way too many favorites to list, but the most unexpected and appreciated component of the training was becoming part of a spiritual community.”
In addition to YTT grads, on July 22nd Mount Madonna Institute was proud to host the graduation of the Ayurvedic Health Counselor Class of 2018.
Student speakers included Darcy Cavanaugh and Jennifer Rand, with a commencement speech given by the Department Chair, Suhas G. Kshirsagar, BAMS, MD.
Mount Madonna Institute celebrates all of our graduates and their accomplishments (and those to come!) We wish them well as they go on to share their passion for the sister sciences, Yoga & Ayurveda, with their families, friends, and communities.
