College of Ayurveda

Thank you for your interest in Mount Madonna Institute College of Āyurveda. We are currently accepting applications for all programs listed below. The next Āyurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) program begins February 2019. The next Certified Āyurvedic Practitioner (CAP) program begins January 2019. The next Master of Arts - Āyurveda (MA) begins July 2019.

Āyurvedic Health Counselor (AHC)

Information you will need:
  • Education Resume
  • Life Experience Resume
  • Statement of your Personal and MMI Studies Goals
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation (at least one from a teacher or supervisor)
  • A recent passport-sized photograph
Admissions Requirements:
  • High School graduation or equivalent

Certificate - Āyurvedic Practitioner (C-AP)

Admissions Requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of the Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) required. If the AHC was completed elsewhere, student must pass the National NAMA AHC Exam
  • BA or BS from an accredited institution recommended
  • NAMA AHC Professional Membership recommended
  • Pre-Requisite: 6 college credits; Anatomy and Physiology. MMI accepts a college level transcript showing satisfactory completion of an A & P course

Master of Arts - Āyurveda

Admissions Requirements:
  • BA or BS from a regionally accredited institution
  • MMI AHC Diploma or AHC professional membership in NAMA
  • Pre-Requisite: 6 college credits; Anatomy and Physiology. MMI accepts a college level transcript showing satisfactory completion of an A & P course
  • AHC Graduates:
    • Completion of the first 6 months of C-AP course work. This MA program qualifies for NAMA CAP certification and fulfills most of the academic requirements for the NAMA Ayurvedic Doctor credential!

  • CAP Graduates:
    • MA coursework starts in July 2019
    • AP professional membership in NAMA
    • This MA program fulfills most of the academic requirements for the NAMA Ayurvedic Doctor credential!
