AY108: Ayurvedic Cooking, Jay Apte, B.A.M.S., M.S.

This course is an introduction to Ayurvedic cooking and how to use food as medicine. Jay Apte will demonstrate the therapeutic use of food and spices to balance the doshas and maintain health. Students learn hands-on how to prepare Ayurvedic meals.

Learn the essentials of human Anatomy and Physiology in a three-day intensive program. Designed for those in the healing arts to deepen your understanding of the human body and your ability to help your clients with their healing process. Illustrated lectures and hands-on testing will provide practical clinical applications of structure and function. Satisfies the MMI College of Ayurveda Anatomy and Physiology requirement.

Initial consultations take an hour and consist of a brief explanation of Ayurveda, detailed history taking to get a clear idea of the causative factors involved, focused Ayurvedic evaluation of pulse, tongue, eyes, skin and nails, evaluation of Ayurvedic Mind-Body Type (Prakruti) and imbalances (Vikruti) and an Ayurvedic Plan of Diet, Health Routine, Herbs, Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation.
